Van Treese to stay at UofL?

According to Drew Deener, who does TV play-by-play for the Cards, Stephan Van Treese will be staying at UofL and not transferring. If this is true, it will give the Cards even more depth in the front court, as Van Treese can play both the Power Forward and Center positions.

Stephan Van Treese, a 6’8 Junior from Indianapolis, IN, was granted his release today and will leave the UofL program. Montrezl Harrell Commits to the Cards

Rick Pitino and the University of Louisville received HUGE news this morning when 4* PF Montrezl Harrell committed to play for the Cards next season. Harrell will be a freshman with 4 years eligibility. Harrell adds depth at the one spot that UL needed it, which is the PF/C spot. This will also open up the door for Angel Nunez to float around more at the 3/4 positions. The addition of Harrell should make the cards pre-season #1 and no lower than #2 but as we all know when it comes to ranking you never know. Harrell’s game is described in one word: ANGRY and that’s exactly what the Cardinals needed.  #CardSwag
