Football: Big East divisions for 2013-14 seasons
The presidents of the Big East schools approved a 2 division format for the 2013 and 2014 football seasons. Here is what those divisions will look like:
East
UCF
Cincinnati
UConn
Louisville
Rutgers
USF
West
Boise State
Houston
Memphis
San Diego State
SMU
Temple
The teams would play each of their 5 division opponents, and 3 opponents from the other division. They have also discussed how things would change in 2015 when the Big East plans to grow to 14 teams, but we won’t look THAT far ahead at this point.
