By: Steven Rummage

Big time Florida DT Derrick Calloway has committed to Louisville! Calloway is 6’1 300 lbs and will provide the Cards with the much needed size on the D Line. Calloway was first team All-State this year in Florida 7A football and was named the best prospect in Southwest Florida. Calloway choose the Cards over offers from Texas Tech, USF, OSU, Florida, South Carolina, FSU, Miami, USC, and Arkansas. Charlie is getting it done like usual! Check out these highlights of Derrick Calloway:

Team CSZ makes their quick UofL-UK predictions!

Louisville Kentucky

Short and sweet, here are the predictions for today’s game from Team CSZ!

Justin Renck: Cards win 74-60. Too much chaos caused by Siva and Russ on defense; too many scorers for the Cards.

Jeremy Wahman: I say too much Russ, too much Gorgui, too much D. Cards win 80-65.

Steven Rummage: 77-65 Cards. UofL defense doesn’t allow UK to break 70 and Russ Smith goes for 35.

Paige Sherrard: Tough environment for UK; Siva wants to beat the Cats badly for his 1st time. Cards win 78-69.

Paige Sherrard: UofL-UK game prediction

Louisville Kentucky

By Paige Sherrard:

The environment of the Yum! Center for today’s game is going to be insane. To date, UK has only played one intense non neutral game, against Notre Dame, in which the Cats were defeated 64-50. Can their Freshmen adjust to the hostility, energy, and pure insanity of the Yum! Center??

Louisville vs. Kentucky: the Edgar Sosa shot

Edgar Sosa

By Justin Renck:

One of the best moments in this rivalry happened in the 2008-2009 season. The Cards ended up being the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, and the Cats played in the NIT. But none of that mattered on this day. In this rivalry, anything can happen! And yes, Earl Clark almost gave this game away!

Louisville vs. Kentucky: the 1983 Dream Game

Louisville Kentucky 2

By Justin Renck:

In what could be the biggest game all-time in the history of the UofL-UK rivalry, 1983 gave us the original “Dream Game.” For years, Kentucky would not play against Louisville. Actually, the last time they had played was 1959! This started with Adolph Rupp and made its way to Joe B. Hall. They considered themselves too good for us!

Visitor list for UofL vs Uk

080410-CBK-Rick-Pitino-PI_20100804220255_660_320

By: Steven Rummage

This Saturday, Coach Pitino and the Cards will take on rival Uk. But what’s happening on the court won’t be the only news worthy thing that’s happening in the KFC Yum Center. Like he usually does for big games in the Yum, Coach P has an impressive list of recruiting visitors. The 2012 edition of the Rivalry may be one of the more impressive crop of visitors in recent memory as the Cards will have 4 5 Star prospects on campus, two (Lyle & Lyles) of whom most believe could come down to the Cards and Cats. For now this is all the visitors we can confirm but could have a few more so keep checking CSZ for all the info. Below we have all the video and info you need on this group.

Most disliked Wildcat player

DeMarcus Cousins

By Justin Renck:

According to our non-official twitter poll, the fans have spoken. Many players were mentioned, but the overwhelming choice for the most disliked player for UK goes to DeMarcus Cousins! That is pretty impressive that he was able to capture this title and he only played for 1 season at UK.

Great moments in UK history: Eric Bledsoe press conference

Eric Bledsoe

By Justin Renck:

Well we all remember the road scholar Eric Bledsoe, right? Good luck trying to listen to this. If you happen to make it to the 2:45-2:50 mark, check out what he and John Wall will “get right”. There is a word in the middle there that he says.

I apologize in advance for your IQ dropping after this video. Don’t worry, it is a natural reaction, and it actually increases your chances of playing for UK one day.

Paige Sherrard: CSZ turns 1 year old

csz-logo

By Paige Sherrard:

My journey to become a female Sports Reporter came out of nowhere. I was at my last Sigma Kappa Sorority Formal when one of the sorority advisors informed me of an opportunity to compete for a spot on a CN 2 sports show. The show was called KSTV… Matt Jones was the host. I knew of Matt Jones from his Twitter arguments with UofL fans and his hatred of UofL. His anti Louisville tweets were enough to motivate me to not only attend the KSTV Casting Call but to win the spot on the show. I wanted the chance to call out Matt Jones.
