Cards have 3 selected in MLS SuperDraft
By Justin Renck:
On Thursday afternoon, the MLS held its SuperDraft in Indianapolis, IN. There are 2 rounds, and only 38 picks, and the Louisville Cardinals had 3 former players selected! They had the 1st and last pick, and 1 in between!
1. Andrew Farrell (defender) was selected 1st overall by the New England Revolution. Farrell was a junior this season and is also a local kid. He attended Atherton High School in Louisville, KY.
27. Paolo DelPiccolo (midfielder) was selected 27th overall by the Montreal Impact.
38. Greg Cochrane (defender) was selected 38th overall by the LA Galaxy.
It was another successful day for the Louisville Cardinals. We continue to show that we are a successful athletic department, with success in ALL sports! Go Cards!
