Shaq Jones (likely) flipping to Georgia

Shaq Jones

I will start this one out by saying this does not worry me AT ALL, but just relaying the information. It looks as if recent UofL commit Shaq Jones will be flipping to Georgia. This does not come as a surprise or as bad news really. Jones is a former South Alabama commit. When he got the Louisville offer, he committed. Then Georgia took notice of him. When they offered, he (looks like it) took it. So yes, if Alabama comes knocking on his door, he will likely commit there. If the Seahawks say they want to pick him up? Sure, let’s commit there too.

Here is the article that Weiszer wrote. The next couple quotes come from that.

His high school coach, who is also the Athletic Director, had this to say after Jones visited Georgia this weekend: “From all indications I have, that’s where he’s going to go,” Jeff McLean said. “He said that he liked it. …I would say he’s committed.”

“I know he told some other people that he’s committed to Georgia, a teacher here that he’s close with,” McLean said.

Jones is a defensive back, which is why this move is not a big deal. The Cards just got a commitment from Trumaine Washington and had De’Eric Culver reaffirm that he will be signing with UofL. Both of them are defensive backs.
