Louisville offers 4-star PG/SG Jalen Adams
As reported earlier this evening by Evan Daniels of Scout.com, Louisville has offered a scholarship to class of 2015 point guard/shooting guard Jalen Adams. He is 6’2 and a 4-star prospect across all four major recruiting sites. 247 Sports rates him as the 6th best point guard in the class and the 39th best player overall.
The offer from the Cards appears to put them instantly in the top 3 for Adams, along with UConn and Kansas.
The following comes from John Pavia on zagsblog.com:
Vin Pastore, Adams’s AAU coach with Mass Rivals, told SNY.tv that he believed the three schools recruiting Adams the hardest at the moment were Kansas, UConn and Louisville. UConn offered Adams last year, but continued to recruit him aggressivley and Kansas offered him before the Spring Live period had begun.
Also from the same article, he talks about the connection to Louisville for Adams…
“Louisville also won a title in the past two years because of their guard play with Russ Smith andPeyton Siva,” he said. “They’ve taken their recruitment of Jalen to another level with the offer.
This definitely makes things interesting and gives the Cards another legit option at point guard along with prospects Isaiah Briscoe and Bryant Crawford.
