Russ Smith had one heck of a debut in the NBA Summer League on Friday night. Against the NBA D-League Select, Russ played 27:12 and had 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists, including an assist on the game-winning basket as the Pelicans won 83-81. 10 of his 20 points came in the 4th quarter, and Russ was a key part of an 18-0 run to take the lead near the end of the game.

Here are highlights from that game.

He struggled a bit on Sunday as the Pelicans beat the Lakers 90-73. Russ scored 6 points on 3-11 shooting. But he did dish out 8 assists and grab 4 rebounds.

The Pelicans are back in action this evening at 6:30 pm ET against the San Antonio Spurs.
