Peyton Siva released by Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have decided to release Peyton Siva after he apparently did not do enough this summer to earn a spot on the team. In 3 games, Siva averaged 10 points, 5 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 23 minutes per game. He also averaged less than 2 turnovers per game (1.6). Not too bad for a point guard.

An injury to his hamstring cut his summer league short, which was unfortunate given how well he was playing, and the fact that the Pistons were 3-0 in those games. They went 0-2 in the last 2 games without Siva.

Hopefully he played well enough that another team gives him a shot. Good luck Peyton!
