4 former Cards sign with NFL teams
It is not always a big deal to go undrafted in the NFL Draft. If you are good enough, a team will find you and give you a shot. This happens every year. Teams make their picks, and the draft ends. Then plenty of players sign with teams as free agents. So sometimes it isn’t a bad thing to go undrafted, because then you get to (hopefully) have options and you can make the best decision for yourself.

Football: Big East Postseason Honors
You don’t go 10-2 and make it to the Sugar Bowl without some great individual performances, and those were recognized by the Big East with their posteason honors. Teddy Bridgewater was named Offensive Player of the Year, and Charlie Strong was Coach of the Year, but the Cards has more players honored…
To the Seniors: Thank you!

As we approach Senior Day 2012 for the football season, I tried to think of what kind of post to make on here to honor the seniors. After thinking of a few different ideas, I figured to just make it simple by saying: Thank you! Think about it…the seniors that have been here for their whole 4-5 year career committed to UofL when it really wasn’t a great place to commit to. They have stuck it out, and made this an attractive football program once again, and for that, I say thank you.

Just getting you caught up on a busy couple of days…
*Football
-The two open practices will be Friday August 3 (5:45 p.m.) and Saturday August 4 (11:30 a.m.)
-We should be posting a story on Friday about the latest football commit, Corey Cooper, with quotes from Cooper himself.
-Fan day is slated for Sunday August 12 from Noon-2:30.
-In the first USA Today Coaches poll, the Cards were ranked 27th overall.
-We are hearing that Clemson transfer WR Bryce McNeal will enroll at UofL as long as he qualifies.
-CB Adrain Bushell was named to the Paul Hornung Watch List.
-These are the new gloves for the team this season.

Athlon Sports released their Top 50 Big East players for the upcoming 2012 season. These rankings were based on 5 criteria: 2012 projected performance, importance to team, positional importance, NFL draft stock, and career performance.
