Senorise Perry signs with Bears; 9 Cards now on NFL teams from last year

With the recent news that running back Senorise Perry has signed with the Chicago Bears, that now makes 9 former Louisville Cardinals from last year’s team that are on NFL teams right now. Here is the tweet from Brad Biggs, who covers the Bears for the Chicago Tribune.

Here is the updated list.

1st Round

Calvin Pryor – 18th overall to the New York Jets

Marcus Smith – 26th overall to the Philadelphia Eagles

Teddy Bridgewater – 32nd overall to the Minnesota Vikings

2014 NFL Draft: Where the Cards went

The first night of the 2014 NFL Draft was the big one for the University of Louisville. On that night, three players were selected in the first round. Over the next two days, only one player was picked. However, there have been many free agent signings since the draft ended. Here is a list of the players that were either drafted or have signed as free agents. (As of 11:50 p.m. on Saturday night)

These Seniors deserve a packed PJCS on Saturday

I began to type this post, and had to delete the first paragraph and start over. I was opening the post with negativity and talking about what I expect the stadium to be like on Saturday afternoon. But that will do no good and make no difference. No need to be negative. I will just talk about why Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium should be FULL on Saturday afternoon.

And let me go ahead and get these excuses out on the table for everyone (all of these are in a whiny voice):

Mauldin has moved from defensive end to tight end and now back to defensive end since arriving at UofL. What does that mean? He is not only a team player, but versatile. You don’t just switch positions unless you are skilled enough to do it and selfless enough to sacrifice for the team.
