Russ Smith hits shot to win Orlando Summer League

Russ Smith continued his great summer with the Grizzlies on Friday afternoon in the Championship of the Orlando NBA Summer League. Not only did he have 15 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals, but he hit the game winning shot in double-overtime to win the league. It was his second game-winner this week.

Russ Smith scores 20 points and hits game winner

In NBA Summer League action on Tuesday afternoon, Russ Smith faced off against Peyton Siva. Russ and the Grizzlies got the better end of the matchup, as Russ went off for 20 points, including the game winning shot in sudden death.

Russ finished with 20 points on 9-12 shooting and was 2-3 from the three point line. He also had 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 turnover.

Gorgui Dieng Posts His 4th Double-Double in 5 games

Gorgui Dieng continues to make the most of his opportunity in Minnesota right now while starting center Nikola Pekovic is injured. Monday night, Dieng recorded his fourth double-double in the last five games in a 109-92 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. In 37 minutes, Gorgui had 11 points and 17 rebounds. Seven of those rebounds were on the offensive end.

In these five games that he has started, Gorgui is avergaing 12.2 points and 13.8 rebounds in 32.4 minutes per game.
