Football: UofL commits are All-Star game MVPs
By Justin Renck:
Last night was the FACA (Florida Athletic Coaches Association) North-South All-Star game in Sebring, Florida. The South won the game 25-14, but it was a couple of future Louisville Cardinals that stood out. The South’s MVP was Tampa Bay Tech’s Richard Benjamin, who had 3 interceptions. He also plays wide receiver, but is expected to join UofL as a cornerback.

Benjamin actually committed to the Cards a few days ago, but since he was making his official visit this weekend, the coaches wanted to wait until then for it to become official, and now it is.

Football: Cards pick up big committment from Tampa, FL WR/DB

Richard Benjamin, a 6’1 wide receiver/defensive back from Tampa, Florida, verbally committed to the Cards last week, but it wasn’t quite official. Anyone can commit to a school, but the coaching staff has to approve and accept it before it becomes official. With Benjamin scheduled to make a visit to campus this weekend, the coaching staff just wanted to wait and see how that went. Apparently, it went well enough, and now Richard Benjamin is apart of the 2013 class for the Louisville Cardinals.
