Women’s Volleyball: Senior outside hitter Emily Juhl had 17 kills to help the University of Louisville remain unbeaten at 12-0 in the American Athletic Conference as they held off a determined University of Houston in five sets, 25-17, 25-18, 13-25, 23-25, 15-6. Brooke Mattingly added 10 kills and Janelle Jenkins pitching in 11 kills. Maya McClendon and Katie George each had double-doubles for Louisville with 10 kills and 20 digs and 34 assists and 18 digs, respectively. Caitlin Welch led the Cards with 25 digs, including her 2,000th career dig, becoming the first player in school history to accomplish that feat.

The Louisville pair of Fellerhoff and Shine were honored as they qualified for the ITA National Indoor Championship by riding big wins and big upsets. Playing at the Ohio Valley Regional, the duo rolled off five straight wins, including an upset of the No. 1 seeded pair of Krisztina Kapitany and Mara Schmidt from Purdue in the semifinals. With an 8-5 victory over Memphis’ Alyssa Hibberd and Caroline Wegner in the finals, the pair qualified for the ITA Indoor Championships. In singles play, Fellerhoff was 3-1, while Shine was 5-1.

Women’s Volleyball: Emily Juhl had 21 kills, hitting .528 with two blocks to lead the University of Louisville to a 23-25, -25-10,25-17, 25-20 win over Rutgers in Volleyball action Friday night in Piscataway, N.J. Maya McClendon had her seventh double-double of the season with 12 kills and 13 digs. Hannah Kvitle had three aces and three kills at setter. U of L moves to 13-7 and 8-0 in The American.
Women’s Soccer: Junior Erin Yenney scored on a penalty kick to lift Louisville to a 5-4 win in overtime over Cincinnati at Gettler Stadium on Friday night to wrap up the regular season. Louisville improves to 12-4-1 on the year and 8-1-0 in league play. The Bearcats fall to 8-10-1 overall and 4-4-1 in league play. Shannon Dennehey added 2 goals.
