Here is your CSZ news for the weekend, as well as a weekend preview..

 

CSZ News

*Radio Show– A reminder that CSZ has started to call in weekly to 95.3 WFBR radio on Sunday evenings. The sports talk show is from 6-7 pm and the station is in Mt. Washington, KY. Just go to 678sports.com and listen live! Last Sunday, Jeremy and Justin talked about the debut of Wayne Blackshear and previewed the Syracuse game. *Derby Classic– The annual Derby Classic basketball game will be held on Friday April 6 at 7:00. This year’s game will be at Freedom Hall, and tickets are on sale now on Ticketmaster. Yesterday, it was announced that 2012 UofL commit Terry Rozier will be playing in the game, so there is definitely a reason for UofL fans to check it out.

Here is the weekend schedule for all UofL sports:

Friday

*Baseball– The 15th ranked Cards begin their season at 10:00 AM against Minnesota in the Big Ten/Big East Challenge. The game is in Clearwater, FL.

*Softball– 21/23 ranked UofL takes their 5-0 record into this weekend as they participate in the ECU Pirate Clash. They face Virginia at 11:00 AM and ECU at 1:00.

*Swimming & Diving– The swim team continues in the Big East Championships in Pittsburgh, PA. Entering Friday, the women are in 1st place and the men are in 2nd place.

*Women’s Tennis– The Cards will be on the road as they take on Akron at 3:00.

Saturday

*Men’s Basketball– The 19/18 ranked Cards (20-6, 8-5) hit the road and take on DePaul (11-14, 2-11) at 12:00. The game is on WHAS.

*Baseball– The Cards take on Illinois at 4:00 in St. Petersburg, FL in the Big Ten/Big East Challenge.

*Softball– Another day of 2 games, as they face Hofstra at 9:00 AM and UNC Greensboro at 11:00 AM in the ECU Pirate Clash.

*Swimming & Diving– The swim team concludes the Big East Championships in Pittsburgh, PA.

*Tennis– The men’s team faces Belmont at 11:00 AM and Tennessee Tech at 5:00 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The women’s team is on the road at Bowling Green at 5:00.

*Track & Field– The men and women begin the Big East Indoor Championships in New York, NY.

Sunday

*Baseball– The Cards take on Michigan State at 10:00 AM in St. Petersburg, FL.

*Softball– UofL will take on Fordham at 9:00 AM in Greenville, NC.

*Lacrosse– Louisville opens its season at 1:00 on the road against Ohio State.

*Track & Field– The Big East Indoor Championships continue for the men and women.
