Scout.com has this to say about Spalding:

There’s a lot to like about Spalding, as he’s 6-9, pushing 6-10, and has a lengthy set of arms. He’s slowly adding weight to his frame, runs the floor with ease and is a solid all-around athlete. Spalding has good hands and touch inside, passes well from both the high post and the block and has a jump hook on the block. Spalding’s motor can be spotty with times, so that’s an area for improvement. Spalding has a lot of potential and upside.

Spalding has really started to get more attention in the last year or so. If the Cards end up getting him, they will have two local players (Quentin Snider), which would be something we haven’t seen here in quite some time. The way he has improved his game in the last year or two, I expect more offers to start coming in for Spalding this summer and in the fall. He is definitely one to keep an eye on for Louisville fans.

Here are his most recent highlights from the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star games.
