You probably know how the men’s basketball team is doing, and maybe even the women’s basketball team. I will quickly give you an update on how all of the sports teams for UofL are doing that are currently in action.

Also, Terry Rozier and Montrezl Harrell were named to the Naismith Midseason 30 list.
*Women’s Basketball – The 9th ranked women’s basketball team had an exciting comeback win on Sunday against 17th ranked North Carolina 75-66. *Baseball – The 7th ranked Cards got their season started this past weekend in Clearwater, Florida. Lucky them. They won their first two games before dropping the weekend finale and are 2-1 to start the season. On Friday, they defeated Alabama State 5-1. On Saturday, they beat South Florida 7-3. The lone loss of the weekend came at the hands of 17th ranked Cal State Fullerton on Sunday by a score of 8-6.
Next up for the Cards is supposed to be their home opener on Wednesday against Eastern Kentucky. It is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. ET at Jim Patterson Stadium. We will see what the weather is like.
*Softball – Believe it or not, the softball Cards have already played 10 games this season. They have gotten off to just a 5-5 start. At the UNLV Sportco Kick-Off Classic to start the season, they went 2-3. They came back and went 3-2 in the Dot Richardson National Collegiate Softball Invitational in Clermont, Florida.
Next up will be 4 games this weekend (2 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday) at the Eastern Kentucky Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky. The Cards will face Kent State, Western Michigan, Kent State again, and Eastern Kentucky.
*Lacrosse – The 13th ranked Louisville lacrosse team started their season on Sunday with a 17-8 win at home over Cincinnati. Hannah Koloski led the Cards with 6 goals. Their next game is this Saturday at home against Canisius at 1:00 p.m. ET.
*Swimming & Diving – The prelims of the Louisville Invitational First Chance Meet were held this past weekend at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. To see those results, check out Louisville’s swimming & diving page.
*Men’s Tennis – The 43rd ranked Cards (6-2) had a very good day on Saturday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. They began their day by sweeping 60th ranked Michigan State 4-0 and then ended up sweeping Austin Peay 4-0 as well. Not too bad!
They will host Illinois State and Chicago State this Wednesday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
*Women’s Tennis – The 66th ranked UofL women’s tennis team (9-3) struggled this weekend as they lost both of their matches. On Friday, they fell to Marshall 5-2. On Saturday evening, they lost 5-1 to 71st ranked Minnesota.
This Friday they will host Notre Dame.
So many sports. So many ranked teams. Go Cards!
