Michaelee Harris came to the University of Louisville for Charlie Strong’s FIRST season as head coach back in 2010. He still has one year of eligibility remaining, and he will use that at Akron in 2015. Countless knee injuries have led to Harris having a sixth year of eligibility.

Harris was injured before ever playing a game at Louisville. He showed flashes of what he could do in open practices before going down and missing the season. As a redshirt freshman in 2011, he caught 37 passes for 455 yards and two touchdowns, and it looked like Harris would be one of the better receivers to come through here. It just wasn’t meant to be.
He tore his ACL and PCL in BOTH knees and missed two full seasons (2010 and 2012) because of it. Every time he made a big play in the last two years, it felt just a little bit more special because of everything he has had to overcome.
