If you missed the news yesterday, 93.9 The Ville just brought a LOT more UofL coverage to your radio! Howie Lindsey will be starting his own show on 93.9 on Monday, August 3. It will run from 10 a.m. – noon Monday through Friday. Howie will bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to your radio dial, or your phone, however you listen.

Steve Rummage has dubbed Howie as the “Apostle of CSZ” and for good reason. Howie has been there almost from the start for us and helped us in any way we have needed. He is one of the nicest guys, not only in sports or the media, but in general. And this couldn’t happen to a better person. I knew something like this was in the works for quite a while, and glad it finally got all worked out.
93.9 The Ville is making power moves and becoming the go-to spot for UofL coverage. I say “becoming” but they already are to me and it’s not even close. Here is what the lineup looks like for UofL shows…
Deener Show: 7 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Howie Lindsey Show: 10 a.m. – noon
Ramsey & Rutherford: 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Louisville Sports Live: 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday
Cardinal Sports Zone: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Saturday
A few thoughts about this morning’s Howie show:
– being excited about winning and watching a fun team play is what fans do. It is our respite and source of enjoyment. We don’t have to be guarded about maybe not being good enough to win every game, the conference, or the tournament.
– that’s why as a Louisville fan that I like Howie so much. He is knowledgeable about UL sports, always fun and optimistic, but will tell the truth about things.
– I dislike the weak preseason HOME schedule. It costs me about $300 a game for my 2 tickets. Give fans a couple big time home games to get fired up about every pre-conference season.
– the arrogant uk guys from this morning is one big reason that I dislike uk. why do they so often call the UL show and try to pour cold water on our program. (only uk would travel to Nashville early morning to take over Vandy;s Game Day broadcast- a few years ago)
