I know what you are thinking. Jeremy, we don’t want to read your recap of all sports at Louisville. We only care about the top ones. I had someone tell me that last week. For every sour patch kid there are a 100 people who support all sports at Louisville. I do this for you guys. I do it for CardNation. So for those of you who don’t feel like going to each team page and finding out the results, I bring you the weekend update. (Not like the SNL version)
#2 @UofLBaseball team suffered its first series loss on the road in more than a year falling 4-2 at No. 21 Ole Miss in Sunday afternoon’s decisive third game at Swayze Field.
Having won seven straight true road series entering the weekend, the Cardinals (5-2) dropped two of the three to the Rebels (6-1) ending a streak dating back to April 17-18, 2014 when they lost two of three at UCF. The loss also halted Louisville’s streak of nine straight regular season series wins against ranked opponents.
#11 Men’s Basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Miami on Saturday 73-65 just falling apart at the end. A scoring drought of 5 minutes to end the half until Q hit a 3 with 31 seconds left in the game. Senior night up next vs Georgia Tech.

#13 Women’s Lacrosse did have one of the bright spots on the weekend as the Cards beat #14 BC in Overtime 7-6

Another one of the bright spots were the #10 Women’s Basketball team destroying Pitt 65-36 behind Myisha Hines-Allen’s 25 points 13 rebounds & 2 blocks. Next up ACC Tournament!

The #14 University of Louisville men’s swimming and diving team won a gold, a silver and a bronze and finished second in the final evening of the 2016 ACC Men’s Championships Saturday night in the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The NC State Wolfpack won the ACC crown with 1402 points followed by the Cardinals’ 1067.5. UNC had 897.5, Virginia Tech 892 and Georgia Tech rounded out the top five. Virginia was sixth with 737, followed by Notre Dame (678), Duke (643), Florida State (606), Pitt (345), Boston College (192) and Miami (92.).

The University of Louisville track and field teams concluded the 2016 ACC Indoor Championships with two event titles and a school record. The Syracuse men were crowned champions with 88 points while Miami won the women's title with 85 total points, edging Clemson by two points. The Cardinal women finished eighth and the men finished ninth, both teams accumulating 38.50 points. Over the weekend, the Cardinals had 12 athletes receive all-ACC honors and Damar Robinson was named the ACC Indoor Track & Field Most Valuable Field Performer after finishing first in the high jump and third in the triple jump. ---------------------------------------------- The Softball team went 4-1 this weekend with their lone loss 13-9 to Kent State. They avenged that loss 6-3 and also defeated NDSU 4-3,Cleveland State 6-0 and 9-5. --------------------------------------------- Finally Women's Tennis dropped a pair this weekend. Defeated by unranked WF 6-1 then fell to #18 Virginia
