Here is the list of games for us to watch for this weekend. I compiled them & Justin Krueger aka JK (patent pending) (hot dogs are not sandwiches) broke them down. We hope you enjoy.
Games to Watch:
Alabama at Tennessee, 3:30 ET, CBS: With Louisville hosting its blackout game tomorrow night, this should be the game that is on everyone’s radar for Saturday. Tennessee has pulled off some impressive feats on the road already, including downing Florida and Georgia and nearly pulling off another comeback win at Texas A&M. If Josh Dobbs can get the offense going, Alabama could be in for a tough night, and an Alabama loss could ignite some chaos in the SEC’s playoff race.
Ohio State at Wisconsin, 8:00 ET, ABC:
The matchup everyone will be watching will be Ohio State’s vaunted offense against Wisconsin’s impressive defense. Wisconsin has been the big surprise of the Big Ten this season, with solid defensive performances against an LSU team with Leonard Fournette and held Michigan to 14 points. An Ohio State loss at any point would create a ton of chaos in the Big Ten’s CFP picture, but Wisconsin may arguably have the best shot at taking them down.
Nebraska at Indiana, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN2:
Wisconsin has been the surprise of the Big Ten, but Nebraska has also quietly entered the top ten of the polls after an early-season victory against Oregon. Nebraska could be in for a tough road test against an Indiana team that just beat Michigan State at home, and has also challenged the likes of Michigan and Ohio State last year under head coach Kevin Wilson.
West Virginia at Texas Tech, noon, FS1: The Big XII may not have any legitimate threats to the CFP at this time, but they still have two undefeated teams and WVU happens to be one of them. The Mountaineers might have their toughest test to date against a Texas Tech team that has one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Patrick Mahomes, and a loss would leave Baylor as the lone undefeated team in the Big XII.
North Carolina at Miami, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN2: We all thought the Coastal was going to be substantially weaker than the Atlantic, but it turns out that the Coastal has produced some good teams this season. The Tar Heels and Hurricanes stand out as the two favorites for the division title, and may be of interest if one of them meets Clemson – or possibly Louisville – in the conference championship. The focus will be on the quarterback duel between Mitch Trubisky (UNC) and Brad Kaaya (Miami), the latter of whom could be a potential top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Ryan Switzer and Stacy Coley are two exciting playmakers that will likely contribute in a potential shootout between these two teams.
