One ESPN Writer is making some very bold predictions about David Padgett’s future as UofL Basketball coach and about the team’s prospects for the season.

Myron Medcalf is predicting that, by midseason, Padgett will be given a multiyear deal to become UofL’s permanent head coach. This is music to some UofL fan’s ears.

Medcalf expects that, even with Padgett’s inexperience, he will lead UofL’s superbly talented roster to at least the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. He compares Padgett to another coach that took over a team unexpectedly and led it deep into the tournament. The coach was Steve Fisher and the team was 1989 NCAA Champion Michigan.

I know UofL fans are hoping Myron Medcalf’s bold predictions come true. Let’s hope they do.

You can read Medcalf’s entire article below. It includes many other interesting predictions for all of college basketball that you may find interesting.
