UofL signed CB Telly Plummer out of GA. With the departures that the secondary will have, Petrino loaded up on DBs. Plummer may be the most underrated player in the class.
At 6′ 185, his size is excellent for the position. Plummer is a cover corner. From what I saw in watching highlights, he has great instincts and is good at reading the QBs eyes and jumping routes. Of course, he will have to be careful doing that at this level because QBs will use their eyes to manipulate him.
Plummer is very fluid in his back pedal and has great acceleration when he knows where the ball is going. He is also quite speedy, but when he runs, it appears effortless. In his highlights, he rarely has to use his speed as he rarely appears to be out of position.

At his size and with his athleticism, he showed ability to defend jump balls against taller receivers. He loves to bring big hits and he’s actually quite good at pressing WRs when asked to.
UofL could be very deep at CB in the next few years. Plummer, if he develops, could be an excellent CB. He’s got the size, instincts, and speed to be one.
