Louisville vs Georgia Tech: Postgame Recap

In a battle of the 2-3’s, Georgia Tech’s option offense thoroughly dismantled Louisville’s defense from start to finish leading to a final score of 66-31.

Louisville allowed Georgia Tech to amass 554 yards of total offense, but the most impressive/disheartening part of that is 542 of those yards came on the ground. The Yellowjackets completed 1 of 2 passes for 12 yards. To add insult to injury, Tech averaged 8.3 yards per rush. Louisville had no answers, showed no adjustments and ultimately proved to be the far inferior team tonight against a fairly mediocre team.

Louisville gained 483 yards of total offense. 370 yard passing to go along with 113 yards rushing. But 3 turnovers (2 fumbles and 1 interception returned for a 95 yard touchdown) stifled any hope at consistent offense. Jawon Pass went 23/35 for 299 yards and 2 touchdowns. TuTu Atwell caught 4 passes for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns and fellow receiver Dez Fitzpatrick caught 4 passes of his own for 58 yards and 1 touchdown.

It’s about that time to make a shortlist for a “potential” coaching vacancy. Start a goFundMe, but don’t tell the NCAA.

Up next: Louisville plays at Boston College next Saturday.
