Louisville Escapes Central Michigan Behind Durr’s 31 Points

The No. 3 Louisville Cardinals remain perfect as it picks up a solid, but narrow, win against the Central Michigan Chippewas 72-68.

The Cardinals were able to keep the nation’s fifth leading scorer (23.3 ppg), Presley Hudson, quiet for much of the evening, allowing her to score only 13 of the Chippewas’ 68 points. However, Reyna Frost stepped up big for Central Michigan with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Asia Durr led Louisville, scoring 11 straight points down the stretch. The senior guard finished the contest with 31 points. Fellow senior Sam Fuehring added 14 for the Cardinals.

Louisville has a break for the holiday’s, but returns to action on January 3rd as it opens conference play against North Carolina at home.
