Denny Crum is one of the many names that first pops into your head when you hear “Louisville Basketball”. He was the head coach of the University of Louisville men’s basketball team from 1971-2001 and led the program to its first and second national titles. He coached the talents of Never Nervous Pervis, Dr. Dunkenstein, Darrell Griffith and Milt Wagner. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994 and has remained a great ambassador for the University of Louisville since his retirement. Coach Crum is one of the most loved coaches in UofL history and we all here at Cardinal Sports Zone continue to wish healing and comfort to Coach Crum at this time.
This story will be updated as coach continues to recover.
Hall of Fame basketball coach Denny Crum suffered a stroke this past week and is now recovering in a local hospital. Coach Crum and his family appreciates the thoughts, prayers and also their privacy while he is recovering. No other statements -Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation

GREAT Denny Crum Update. Just heard from Susan Sweeney Crum: "We had a scary weekend, but he's
doing much better and has had a lot of improvement in the last two days. He's been able to enjoy visits from players and friends and we're confident he will make a full recovery." pic.twitter.com/3zB05WnEyj— Doug Proffitt WHAS11 (@WHAS11Doug) May 22, 2019
