Head coach Jeff Walz announced that Nyah Green and Ramani Parker will redshirt for the 2019-20 season.
According to Coach Walz, both freshman have done extremely well thus far, but cited some unforeseen circumstances that came about since their signing.
“Both of these young women would play as freshmen, but it’s a matter of how much and we agreed this is the best path for them,” said Walz. “They are both excited about redshirting and we’re looking forward to it. Whenever you get an opportunity to redshirt players of that caliber and give them an extra year of training, it’s only going to benefit everyone down the road.”
Green, a McDonald’s All-American, was the No. 12 ranked player in the 2019 class. She was named to the ACC Newcomer Watch List just a few weeks ago.
Parker, a four star forward, was tabbed the seventh best forward by Prospects Nation.
Louisville opens the season on November 5th against WKU.
