A Cardinal Forever Was Just Named WNBA Eastern Conference Player Of The Week

The WNBA had a thrilling start to the season last weekend. We saw the debut of overall no.1 pick Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty and the debut of former Louisville center Kylee Shook on day one. However, there’s another former Card who is coming into her own and emerging as a star.

The WNBA released their players of the week for each conference, and former Louisville great Myisha Hines-Allen was named Eastern Conference Player Of The Week.

Myisha helped lead the defending champion Mystics to a 3-1 record averaging 17.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, and 2.0 spg. In her third year, Myisha is really starting to find her groove with her team. She is averaging a career high in minutes (30.4), field goal percentage (.55), three point shooting (40%), and free throw shooting (80%).

It was only a matter of time before Myisha Hines-Allen started to leave her mark on the court like Louisville fans are accustomed to seeing. Here is hoping Hines-Allen continues to have a breakout season and rises to true stardom.
