Gameday Recap: Louisville Vs. Georgia Tech

The Louisville men’s basketball team extended its season on Tuesday night with a 74-64 victory over Georgia Tech at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Louisville improves to 13-18 on the season. Georgia Tech finishes its year at 12-20.

Jarrod West led all scorers with 20 points and 3 assists. Noah Locke added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists for Louisville. Malik Williams had 14 points and 10 boards. Louisville shot 48-percent from the field and 39-percent from three.

For Georgia Tech, Jordan Usher and Miles Kelly each scored 19 points. Michael Devoe added 15 of his own. No other Yellow Jacket was in double figures.

Louisville has just won its third ever ACC Tournament game since joining the conference in 2014. That is no typo, the Cards had only won two games in their previous five appearances heading into the 2022 edition. The last thing anyone should do right now is get their hopes up, but Louisville looked as good on Tuesday night as they have in months. The Cards lost 11 of their last 12 games heading into Brooklyn, but came out and mostly dominated a bad Georgia Tech team. They live to see another day.
