11th-ranked Louisville (25-11) picked up a 4-2 victory over Kentucky (21-16) on Tuesday evening.
Louisville marched to a 3-0 lead after three innings, coming on a solo home run from Cameron Masterman in the first, and a two-RBI single from Jack Payton. Levi Usher and Isaac Humphrey were the only other Louisville batters with hits on the evening, both going 1-for-4 at the plate.
The U of L victory was powered by a strong performance on the mound from the bullpen. Louisville tallied 11 strikeouts as a team using eight different pitchers, led by Ryan Hawks (2.0 IP, 3 K), Carson Liggett (1.0 IP), and Michael Prosecky (1.1 IP, 2 K, ER), the latter earning his seventh save of the 2022 season.
