Federal Judge Dismisses Pitino’s Case VS Adidas

Rick Pitino is finally down to just one lawsuit after a federal judge announced today that his case against Adidas will have to be handled in arbitration. According to the Courier Journal, judge David A. Hale of the Western District of Kentucky granted the motion. Pitino filed the lawsuit in October of 2017 claiming that the shoe company deliberately damaged his reputation. The lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice, meaning Pitinois free to file the same claims again. You can read the Courier Journal’s full report below.

UofL Baseball Gets New Uniforms

New year, new uniforms.

The University of Louisville baseball team has always been one of the sharpest dressed teams in the nation. This year will be no different. Adidas has stepped up, once again, and got the team some awesome new uniforms for the 2018 season. Don’t forget to get out to Jim Patterson this spring and summer and support the cardinal 9!

 

 

 

Adidas Fires Back At Pitino

Adidas has come forward and asked a judge to dismiss Pitino’s case against the company. They have no new evidence, but they stand by the original findings and say that Pitino knew fully of the exchange of money to Brian Bowen’s family. It seems this is just the beginning of a very long, and ugly, battle.

Rick Pitino Files Federal Lawsuit Against Adidas

Former University of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino has filed a federal lawsuit against Adidas.
The lawsuit alleges that Pitino was damaged by the companys outrageous conduct in conspiring to funnel money to the family of a basketball recruit.

Pitino maintains his innocence in the matter claiming the he was not aware of the matter.

The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Louisville.

UofL Removes Adidas Logo From Social Media

This afternoon, the university made its standing with Adidas, a little more clear. The official Twitter account of Louisville Athletics, no longer shows the Adidas logo. More is certain to come out in the following days regarding the partnership moving forward. They have also removed from all other forms of social media.

UofL Men’s Basketball Announces Exhibition Against Simmons College

The University of Louisville Men’s Basketball team announced on Thursday that they will have an exhibition game against Simmons as well as a $30,000 investment by Adidas through 2019.

PORTLAND, Ore. August 25, 2017 – adidas and the University of Louisville today announced that they have extended its 19-year partnership with the University of Louisville through 2027-2028. A partner with adidas since 1998, the new agreement replaces the final year of the current deal which was to run through 2019. The Portland, Ore. based company will supply footwear, apparel, accessories and marketing support for all 23 of the university’s intercollegiate athletic programs.

Donovan Mitchell is a name you hear on the streets of Louisville, and it is always greeted with a smile. His fierce athleticism and humble attitude made him a fan favorite during his two years here at the University of Louisville. Donovan was drafted number 13 overall to the Utah Jazz in this past NBA drat. SLAM Magazine’s Peter Walsh recently sat down with Mitchell to talk about life. Card forever Donovan Mitchell recently signed a deal with the Utah Jazz and now he has signed a multi-year deal with Adidas. Louisville Football Reveals The “Three Stripe Zone”

As a part of the “Coming Full Circle” campaign to turn the horseshoe-shaped Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium into a completely 4 sided stadium, the Cardinal Athletic Fund revealed a new aspect of the new section of the stadium called the “Three Stripe Zone”.

In the Three Stripe Zone part of the new section, fans will not only have a great view, but additional perks as well. This includes cushioned chairback seating, increased leg room, and priority on the football parking waiting list.
