Remember The First Blackout Game At PJCS?

On November 2nd, 2006 Louisville held it’s first ever Blackout game. Bobby Petrino encouraged fans to wear black for the contest against the #3 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers. It turned out to be one of the most memorable nights in Louisville football history and one of the biggest weekends of sports ever in Louisville as the Breeders Cup was being held at nearby Churchill Downs. In this Thursday night slugfest, #5 Louisville won by a score of 44-34. Brian Brohm threw for 354 yards and a touchdown, Trent Guy returned a punt 40 yards for a touchdown and Harry Douglas had 6 receptions for 116 yards. It was a memorable scene when fans dressed in all black rushed the field as the final seconds ticked off the game clock. Relive that moment and watch the full game here…
