Donovan Mitchell continues to impress as a rookie. Last night, Donovan led his Utah Jazz in a road battle against arguably the world’s best player Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Though his team lost 109-100, Donovan still put on a show; dropping 26 points including this exquisite dunk.
According to his Instagram Louisville guard Terry Rozier will attend the LeBron James Camp in Las Vegas later this week. The LBJ camp takes 20 of the top College Basketball players and over 80 of the best high school players and allows them to go against the best competition. Other than basketball the campers also deal with things such as Marketing, PR, and other media operations.
This is the second big camp Rozier has been apart of this summer. At the Kyrie Irving camp last month Rozier drew much praise from people within the camp including John Lucas. Like I’ve said before these camps are only a good thing for Rozier who most believe will be one of the breakout players this season. It will be fun to keep up and hear the reviews Terry draws this time.
No word on whether any other UofL players will be attending also.
It was a long night for Cards fans watching the draft, but it finally paid off. With the 47th pick in the draft, the Philadelphia 76ers picked Russ Smith. Before that moment could sink in, Russ was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.
This puts Russ on the same team as former Kentucky Wildcats Anthony Davis and Darius Miller. What is even more interesting is the fact that the Pelicans play the Miami Heat in an exhibition game at the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday October 4. Very cool storylines with that team and the local connections. Obviously in that game, you could also have LeBron James if he stays with the Heat. And also, the Heat traded for former UConn guard Shabazz Napier. So Russ vs Shabazz in the Yum???
