It was announced on Monday that UofL will use ANC for the video boards for the newly expanded Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. This is the same company that installed and operates the video boards at Jim Patterson, Lynn Stadium and Ulmer Stadium. You can see the full details of the agreement below.

The Progression Of PJCS Construction

PJCS Phasse 2

Construction work on the stadium began at the end of the regular season in late November. The first phase of the project which will be the seating structure for the interior bowl, will be in place but not completed for the beginning of the 2017 football season. Phase 2 will begin Jan. 1, 2018. The second phase will be the renovations to the Howard Schnellenberger team complex, which will include 100,000 square feet of space that will double the size of the team’s weight room and conditioning center. The tentative completion goal for the whole project was the 2019 season but faster than expected fundraising has moved the completion date up to the start of the 2018 season. The Cards open the 2018 season in Orlando against Alabama, so it appears the first game in the newly renovated PJCS will be on Saturday September 8th against the Indiana State Sycamores (AKA sacrificial lambs). Of course that is subject to change.

BucketHatism: 2017 Football Schedule

LJ

“ALL RISE!!! Court is now in session. The honorable Bucket Hat King LJ tha Fiasco presiding. Please be seated and come to order”

FOLKS!!!  I have been approached by a few people needing an explanation for my recent hiatus from Twitter. Basically I spend a lot of time on the damn thing and I have to go into detox once a year only to relapse again.   But look at the bright side, each time this happens a bunch of crazy stuff happens and I am left without a place to vent or celebrate. So I usually end up telling my fiance or anyone who will listen that we got a new recruit, B-Dubs has a secret code for free wings, and blue cheese is straight ass-water.

BucketHatism: NC State

LJ

“ALL RISE!!! Court is now in session. The honorable Bucket Hat King LJ tha Fiasco presiding. Please be seated and come to order”

Thank you, please be seated.  Before we begin the BHK would like to address an incident that happened on the inter-webs last week.  During the recent presidential debate the BHK had a brain fart and actually engaged in a profanity laced tirade with a Twitter follower.  Though no one wins in this situation, the BHK took the bait and things went downhill from there.  What I don’t condone is the threats against the other person involved. The BHK appreciates all his supporters but he is not a fan of alleged death threats the other party claims to have received.  Everyone chill out, Twitter is just a place for us to vent, laugh, talk about binge watching, predict who dies on The Walking Dead, make fun of slapd*cks, use BOFA jokes, and lambaste Logan’s Roadhouse food all in 140 characters or less.  That being said, lets get to the notes from this past weekend’s curbstomping of NC State.

BucketHatism: BYE Week

BHK

**The court was closed in observance of the BYE week.**

While sitting around the house trying to get excited about the first Cardinal-less football week since August 27th, the BHK jotted notes down. I admit, these notes veered away from football at times but I blame the disappointing games that I saw this week.  Here are some things I jotted down from the last 8 days without Cardinal football:

  • I thought Sunday was hard after the Clemson game, try last week.  I know people may call me crazy but I seriously think we pissed off the programming director at ESPN back in the late 80’s or early 90’s.  I say this because ESPN replayed the Clemson game damn near every night last week. It was like getting punched in the face every night just as your nose was healing. And I get that it was a great game and we are still the talk of College Football, but that game will be a game I will probably never watch again. I put it up there with the NCAA tourney game against that team down the road in 2014. Burn the tape.
