On our latest episode of Cardinal Sports Zone on 93.9 The Ville, we talk a lot about local players that have come through the UofL basketball program over the years as well as ones that got away. There was a lot of interaction on twitter and some good callers with their opinions. Check it out and tune in every Saturday morning from 10-11 on 93.9 FM.
For some reason, Rajon Rondo is running in the streets of Louisville. Freshman quarterback Lamar Jackson can be seen in this video beating Rondo in a sprint down the street. Rondo is 29 years old and has had ACL surgery in the last couple of years. Jackson is probably 18 or 19 years old.
So I don’t know what the big fuss/excitement is about here. But I do know that things are getting wild on UofL’s campus on a Monday night.
Slots are filling up for Rajon Rondo’s 2014 basketball camp. Now if you ask why I would post something about a camp for a former Kentucky player, I will say this: I don’t even look at Rondo as a former Wildcat. He is from Louisville, wanted to play at Louisville, and still is in town quite often. Also, there are supposed to be former UofL players at the camp, including Russ Smith. And finally, it’s a basketball camp to help kids out. Have to spread the word on that!
