Bobby Petrino landed his first commitment for the class of 2015 on Friday when safety/cornerback TJ Jallow pledged to the Cards. Jallow plays for Olive Branch High School in Olive Branch, Mississippi. If that school/location sound familiar, it’s because that’s where former QB commit Ross Trail played (he now plays his high school ball in Arkansas). Speaking of Trail, while he did open his recruitment back up after Charlie Strong left, he is still interested in the Cards and was at the spring game on Friday night.
Jallow is listed at 6’1 and 203 pounds. His hudl page says that he runs a 4.31 40-yard dash.
On Monday night, running back Justin Crawford became the 2nd commit for Charlie Strong’s 2015 class at Louisville. Crawford is from Columbus, Georgia and also has offers from Georgia and Boston College. Auburn was also showing interest in Crawford. Columbus, Georgia is about 30 minutes or so from Auburn, so to get a commit from there, and also take someone away from the Georgia Bulldogs, is a pretty big deal.
Crawford joins QB Ross Trail from Olive Branch, Mississippi as the commits to start the 2015 class for the Cards.
Charlie Strong picked up his first commitment of the 2015 class when he received word that QB Ross Trail would be attended UofL. The 6’3 Trail looks to be a 4 Star QB when the 2015 rankings begin to come out. Currently Trail’s only other offer was from Memphis but many SEC and Big 10 schools are beginning to show heavy interest and those offers should come rolling in soon. This makes the 3rd straight year that Louisville will start of the class with a QB (’13 Bolin, ’14 Bonnafon).
