Today at the Yum center practice facility on campus, Jordan Nwora and head coach, Chris Mack, addressed the media to discuss Jordan’s experience playing for the Nigerian national team.
Jordan talked about playing for his dad, who coached the Nigerian team, what he learned, his strength and conditioning and if he will play for the Nigerian team again.
Coach Mack talked about a wide variety of topics. He started with talking about Jordan playing for Nigeria and how well he rebounded the ball. He talked about getting his team into condition and that it’s not only about being big and strong. He also discussed the return of Akoy Agau, how nobody works harder than VJ King and that VJ and Ryan McMahon are becoming leaders. He also announced that transfer Matt Hanna is no longer with the team after only 1 day. Coach talks about the current roster and breaks down the new additions to the team. In the wake of all the “scandals,” poor decisions, lack of leadership and actions without integrity at the University of Louisville, many people lost their jobs, reputations were damaged, feeling were hurt and fans were divided.
It was a tough time and it seems that things are starting to take a turn in the right direction. But we can’t move forwards until we let go of the past – so it’s time to finally put an end to the Jurich era.
Robbie Valentine was on air with Marques Maybin and Steve Rummage for the Tuesday May 15th edition of Middays with Marques Maybin. They discussed everything from Robbie’s upcoming 33rd (!) annual basketball camps to the type of recruits coach Mack has been bringing in. The University of Louisville Men’s Basketball team has scheduled their very first Pro Day for October 7th as reported by Evan Daniels with Scout.com. It will be divided up into two practices and head coach Rick Pitino has already said they will be extremely athletic practices. He also believes he has 5 or 6 legitimate first round picks coming off this year’s team. The Cards are ranked 6th heading into the season by CBS Sports.

Select-a-Seat Event for UofL Men’s Basketball Tickets Aug. 3
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville men’s basketball fans interested in purchasing season tickets for the 2017-18 season are invited to participate in a special select-a-seat event at the KFC Yum! Center on Thursday, August 3 from 6-8 p.m.
During the event, individuals can participate in unique experiences and hand pick available seats. Participants will have the opportunity to visit with the Cardinal Bird mascot Louie and members of the Ladybirds dance team, as well as receiving a behind the scenes look into the Cards’ locker room, players’ lounge and KFC Yum! Center practice court. Available seats within the arena will be tagged for sale with seats starting as low as $19 per game.

This week…..on 55…..We come to an end of an era. No more Luuuuuuuuuuuuke, Russ, Wichita or Van Beast. No more of this 4 year version of Boom. We will miss you and cherish this class like no other. We did get another NCAA title this week and the girls of boom are still rolling so there’s that. So here we go, here are the 55 most ridiculous things I have heard, had to debate, or just thought about this past week. This …..is….55.
