SMU Fans Plan to Harass Terry Rozier with Squirrels

About a week ago, Louisville freshman Terry Rozier confessed that he has a fear of squirrels. That may have been the wrong thing to admit in this cruel and crazy world that we call College Basketball where fans are just ruthless. The fans at SMU have learned this about Rozier, and they plan to remind him about his fear during tonight’s game.

This comes from their message boards on PonyFans.com

One of the costume kids needs a squirrel outfit.

Any ability for SID to influence to play National Geographic squirrel video’s on the big screen during timeouts? Is that crossing the line? It would be funny though.

If someone isn’t In a squirrel outfit on Wednesday I will leave. That needs to happen

Squirrel suit or big head – wow, what an opportunity

I’m trying to get my wife on it. Would love students to wave this behind basket for free throws.

We should also be able to attract a good number of the campus squirrels around the Louisville entrance to Moody with some properly placed nuts.

Definitely need costumes, signs, etc. but it would be very good to post a message in the visiting locker room saying something like “Players and fans please refrain from leaving any uneaten food unattended. We have had a influx of squirrels in Moody Colesium and until we can get them trapped and removed we do not want to encourage their presence. If you see one, please stay clear as to prevent any scratching or biting.”

How about the guys who dress up in the Mob all wear squirrel costumes instead of their typical ones. If cash is tight for the students, I can pay for it via paypal just let me know.

Also, please need to have a fathead or two with squirrels. If that guy is ever shooting free throws, he needs a squirrel in his face (somebody could run over there while he’s shooting at minimum and hold it up if you can’t get the right seat).

Locals/students, make it happen!

So much potential material from this thread. Love it.

Students, we must vicariously live thru your actions. Please use squirrel material for the UL game.

Forget the white-out, it is apparently going to be a squirrel-out

it costs to have them blow the picture up big and then for the thick poster board behind it to glue it on. We are good on price I appreciate the offer though. We will bring 4 or 5 different squirrels, and hopefully fresno’s guys can get some more, and then smerkins guy’s as well.

Just a small squirrel on a leash would be fine. Walk him across the court during introductions. Remember to put little booties on his feet as to not scratch up the court.

Hope this guy plays enough that all of this really impacts the game.

Just checked. He’s averaging 20.0 minutes per game. LET HIM HAVE IT!

Did Pitino shave that squirrel off his chin yet?

I will donate $100 to the first fraternity that releases a live squirrel on the court just prior to tipoff. I want a utube shot of it happening in case it is not caught by the cameras. I want he kid to know there is a live squirrel in the building

hint: you can sneak almost anything into a stadium in a wheelchair.

At Preston Center Kinkos picking up my squirrel:

Kinkos chick: “is this another picture of a squirrel?”
2ndandlong: “haha. Yes”
Everyone in Kinkos awkwardly stares.
KC: I have another 8-10 of these in here to be picked up.
2nL: excellent. Great news.
KC: Y’all are gonna make that poor kid cry.

Billions of acorns rain down upon the court as the buzzer sounds and Rozier is dragged into the nutty depths by our faithful legion of campus squirrels.
