Louisville left no doubt, dismantling NJIT 104–47, in a game that showcased the Cardinals’ growing offensive rhythm and overwhelming depth. From the opening tip, Louisville dictated the pace, spacing the floor with confident perimeter shooting and attacking the glass with purpose.
By halftime, the Highlanders were already on their heels, and the second half became a showcase of just how potent this Louisville roster can be when everything clicks. The Cardinals finished with 20 made threes and a 59–21 rebounding advantage, asserting their dominance in every meaningful phase.
Ryan Conwell delivered the type of performance that turns heads. The guard poured in 32 points, including 8 of 15 from long range, while adding nine rebounds and six assists; an all around display that set the tone for Louisville’s offensive explosion. Surrounding him the supporting cast stayed sharp and efficient. Isaac McKneely knocked down five triples on his way to 17 points, Jvonne Hadley added 12 while shooting a perfect 2of 2 from deep, and the Cardinals collectively assisted on 24 of their 36 field goals, moving the ball with cohesion and confidence.
For NJIT, the night was a struggle from start to finish. The Highlanders shot just 31% from the field and couldn’t generate the second chance opportunities needed to keep pace; collecting only three offensive rebounds compared to Louisville’s 20. Quenti Duncan provided a modest spark off the bench with a team high 9 points, while starters Jay Rogers and Daren Bolden chipped in 8 apiece. But with Louisville’s lead ballooning into the 50s late in the second half, the Highlanders never found a stretch of sustained rhythm; their largest run of the night was just 5–0.
By the final buzzer, Louisville’s advantage had swelled to a game high 57 points, punctuated by a late layup from freshman Spencer Legg. While the margin speaks for itself, the underlying numbers paint an equally emphatic picture: Louisville looked organized, energetic, and fully in control. The kind of performance a coaching staff can build momentum from. NJIT meanwhile, leaves with film that will test its resilience and plenty to correct before the schedule stiffens further.
Louisville heads to Arkansas Dec 3 for their game against the Razorbacks looking to come back 8-0.
