The Big man from the Ville got what he deserved today. Gorgui Dieng signed a 4 year $64 million dollar extension today. Somewhere Jeff Goodman is probably taking some credit. Gorgui left this heart felt message:
Here is today’s weekly press conference with Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino.
Everyone loves to remember good times in your life. Spending time with loved ones, playing outside or even just playing games. One of the things I loved growing up was playing Tecmo Bowl. Stayed up all night on the weekends playing entire seasons with my brother Joey and my best friend Roman. Great times. So imagine the thrill when I seen the fine people at Tecmo Bowl recreated “The Drive” from Saturday that kept Lamar firmly atop the Heisman leaderboard and may have solidified it. I had to share it. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

“ALL RISE!!! Court is now in session. The honorable Bucket Hat King LJ tha Fiasco presiding. Please be seated and come to order”
Good morning folks, the BHK would like to start off the court proceedings by giving a shoutout to the people who make Lisinopril and other blood pressure meds that keep the BHK from having a heart attack while watching the Cards. We are used to having heart palpitations during basketball season but I don’t need to have them during football season too. Also, shout out to Tim Sullivan aka Slim Tully who took the time to engage me in Twitter interaction after I lambasted and destroyed him last week. Most guys would block me, like Tom Davis. Most guys would run and hide, like Tom Davis. Most guys would throw rocks from their one bedroom Scott County Indiana apartment and then block me…..like Tom Davis. But not Slim Tully, he indicated he is a “big boy” and I must admit he earned some of my respect. He lost it again after he posted a Louisville B-ball scandal story smack dab in the middle of a nail-biter Louisville football game.
Anyway, let’s get into the notes I took over the weekend while yelling at my TV and pacing a hole in the floor. Any outbursts and you will be removed from the court by @VilleSportslaw. He doesn’t take kindly to outbursts and Indiana residents.

It wasn’t pretty and it wasn’t the way we pictured it, but the number 5 team in the nation got an important road win against Virginia. The Cavaliers always seem to give the Cards a hard time, even and especially when they are over-matched. Two years ago, the Cavaliers pulled off the stunning upset over the then top-25 ranked Cardinals, last year it was battle the whole game with a late score to put the game away, this year’s game followed the same script. The Cardinals found themselves down 10-7 at halftime, the lowest point total in a half this season. And with 1:57 left to play, Louisville found themselves in dangerous territory down 25-24, then Lamar pulled off maybe his most memorable Heisman moment yet.
Coach P landed what could be the final major piece to a top 10 recruiting class. Darius Perry, Malik Williams, Jordan Nwora and….
ESPN posted another cartoon video where they discuss who should get the 4th playoff spot, Louisville or Washington, and why. Heather Dinich even takes a shot (sorta) at UK. The video is about a minute long. The article below the video gives you cases for and against Louisville’s championship chances. Don’t forget the first College Football Playoff Poll is released Tuesday night at 7pm on ESPN. Enjoy. Read the rest of this entry
#5 Louisville at Virginia ABC Noon (UL by 33.5)
Last Time: Tied 17-17 at halftime, Louisville relied on a strong running game to put away the Cavaliers on a brisk November afternoon. Brandon Radcliff had a then career-high 146 yards and two touchdowns, while Kyle Bolin and Reggie Bonnafon both added touchdown passes in a 38-31 shootout win over Virginia. Matt Johns threw for four touchdown passes for the Cavaliers, including three to Canaan Severin.
The Cardinals and Wahoos are tied at two wins apiece in the series.

TOP 25 TEAMS, WEEK 1
There are so many wonderful things about the University of Louisville. Athletics tend to garner most of the attention but that’s understandable being that it’s a multi million dollar business and Louisville is pretty good in every sport right now. It is definitely a great time to be a Cardinal. The student athletes work, practice and study very hard to be the best in the classroom and on the field/court/pitch etc. They receive awards and accolades for their performances in academics and athletics but what often goes unnoticed is their contributions of giving back to the community.
