Per University of Louisville Sports Release:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville football program has announced the addition of two recruiting staff positions, head coach Jeff Brohm announced Monday.

Chase Heuke will serve as Director of Recruiting, while Nate Dennison has been named Director of Scouting.

Heuke joins the Louisville staff after 11 seasons at Kentucky, including five years as Director of Recruiting. He was later promoted to General Manager.

“Chase brings extensive experience and a proven track record in recruiting at the highest level of college football,” Brohm said. “He has been directly involved in building nationally ranked recruiting classes and understands what it takes to attract, organize and retain top talent. His leadership, attention to detail and strong relationships will be a tremendous asset to our program.”

Heuke has been an integral part of Kentucky’s recruiting operations since 2015, serving as assistant director of recruiting from 2015–18 and on-campus recruiting coordinator from 2019–20. He helped assemble multiple nationally ranked recruiting classes under head coach Mark Stoops, including a top-10 Rivals class in 2022.

During his tenure, Kentucky recorded a school-record seven consecutive bowl appearances, highlighted by the program’s first New Year’s Day bowl victory since 1951.

A Louisville native, Heuke earned his bachelor’s degree in public relations from Kentucky in 2015 before completing a master’s degree in kinesiology and health promotion in 2017. He was a two-sport athlete in football and lacrosse at St. Xavier High School.

Dennison joins the Cardinals after spending the past eight seasons at Purdue, including five working under Brohm during his tenure as head coach of the Boilermakers.
While at Purdue, Dennison also served as the program’s pro scouting liaison.

“Nate has been a trusted and highly respected member of our staff for many years,” Brohm said. “His background in scouting, player personnel and recruiting is exceptional, and he has a keen eye for identifying talent that fits our program. Nate’s experience working with me at Purdue and his success at Western Kentucky make him an outstanding addition to our staff.”

Prior to his time at Purdue, Dennison spent 11 seasons at Western Kentucky, including eight years as Director of Player Personnel and one as Director of Recruiting. As Director of Recruiting, he oversaw all on-campus recruiting functions, including official visits, coordination with the admissions office, and monitoring the team’s Academic Progress Rate (APR). He also managed all print and digital recruiting efforts for the Hilltoppers.

During his tenure, WKU signed the top-ranked recruiting classes in school history in consecutive seasons. As Director of Player Personnel, Dennison helped guide the Hilltoppers to consecutive Sun Belt Conference top-ranked recruiting classes in 2012 and 2013, followed by a No. 2-ranked class in Conference USA in 2014 and a No. 3 ranking in 2015.

Dennison arrived at WKU in the summer of 2007 as a recruiting graduate assistant before transitioning into the Director of Player Personnel role
