Meet the Team
Here is a little background on each member of the Cardinal Sports Zone team:
Justin Renck: Justin grew up in Louisville, played basketball at Holy Cross high school, and graduated from UofL. He started attending games from the time he was born. As his mom was 8 months pregnant with him, she was standing on her seat at Freedom Hall as Milt Wagner stepped to the free throw line in 1986 with a chance to beat Memphis State. She said “If he hits these free throws, I’m naming my baby Milt!” He hit them both, and Justin lucked out on the whole name thing. Twitter: @JRVille25
Jeremy Wahman: Jeremy was also born and raised in Louisville. He played high school football at Doss. He then went on to play football at UofL in 1995, but only for that one season because an injury cut his career short. He met Justin when they both took a tough class at UofL together. That class? Basketball. He really enjoys doing sports work, and is also excited about this new opportunity with Cardinal Sports Zone. Twitter: @Jeremy_CSZ
Steve Rummage: Steve grew up in the Louisville area and graduated from Bullitt Central high school in 2005, where he played basketball and football. He now Ministers at his local church and covers all things UofL. His family is full of die hard Cards fans, so he was born to root for the Cards and can’t wait to bring you all recruiting and UofL news for Cardinal Sports Zone. Twitter: @Stiz_CSZ
Daryl Foust: Daryl wasn’t born in Louisville but Louisville is her hometown. She attended Male high school where she hopes to become as prominent in the sports world as another Bulldog alumni and ‘Daryl’, Darrell Griffith (even though her hopes of ever dunking like the doctor were shattered because of her vertical challenge). She is a junior Sport Administration major pursuing a minor in Communications. She has completed an internship at 790 Sports Radio with Drew Deener and worked as production and media for the University of Louisville’s men’s soccer team in 2012. She currently works on the video crew at the Louisville Bats Baseball club, the Triple A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. This will be her second semester as UofL’s ESPN U campus connection reporter and producer.
