Another Basketball Commit?

JUCO PG Chris Jones wasn’t the only recruit on campus this weekend, 2013 4* Center Akoy Agau was also in the Ville. As most of you know UofL target Moses Kingsley committed to his home state school Arkansas on Saturday thus making all other UofL Center prospects that much more important. UofL will host BeeJay Anya in two weeks but most believe Anya to be an IU lean. The cards also hosted Marcus Lee last week, Lee has cut his list to UofL, Uk, and Cal and most believe Cal leads for Lee’s services. This brings us to Agau.

At 6’9 Akoy Agau is a perfect mold for a Rick Pitino Center. The Sudan native is a strong rebounder and could very easily play either the PF or C at the College level. Agau has a very soft touch and is an excellent shot blocker. The Cards are not the only school battling for Akoy’s services, he currently holds offers from: Cincinnati, Clemson, Uconn, Florida, Georgtown, Gerorgia, Memphis, Missouri, Tennesee, and WVU just to name a few. If the Cards were to land Agau it would be a big time steal as most have believed he is a Georgetown lean and has plans to Official there in October. But the word is that Louisville and CardNation really impressed Agau this past weekend and he may be ready to pop for the Cards. Pitino has an In-home with Akoy later this week so I would keep a close eye on this situation. If Agau doesn’t choose the Cards in the coming days he will also take officials to either Baylor, Memphis, Miss. St, or WVU.
