The Petrino Family Foundation held a press conference today at Kosairs Children’s Hospital to announce that the Foundation would be donating $1 Million to the hospital. Petrino also announced 100% of all his endorsement earnings will go towards the Foundation. An emotional Bobby Petrino said a 2005 visit to the hospital “truly touched their hearts”, and they felt the need to contribute and give back to the community of Louisville.
On top of the donation to the Hospital there will also be a Scholarship fund set up to help kids who can’t afford to go to UofL do so, as well as a donation to the UofL marching band for new uniforms. Petrino said “We know we’re going to be here and this is where we’re going to end our career, This is how we want to spend our time, with the Foundation and supporting them.”
