Louisville fans can rally around one of our own long after his or her days of competing in the red and black are over. With the 14th pick in the draft, the Miami Dolphins select, DeVante Parker, wide receiver…University of Louisville.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’d understand how absolutely giddy I was to see him taken by my Dolphins. After continuing to battle his foot injury just weeks before the season began and directed to the PUP list (physically unable to perform), I wasn’t so sure Parker would see much playing time this season with rising star Jarvis Landry also in the roster.
With Dan Campbell testing the head coaching waters, Miami fans have seen glimpses of what Louisville fans have had the pleasure to for years. I imagine how high his ceiling of success can be with a 38 yard TD catch worthy of a #SCtop10 nomination in Week 13 vs the Baltimore Ravens.
