The No. 14 Louisville Cardinals round out their two-game homestand on Sunday, as they face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
CARDS are HOT in January
Louisville started the new year hot, defeating then No. 15/13 Florida State. The Cardinals continued to pick up impressive wins handing Georgia Tech their first home loss on the season, overpowering the then 13-1 Virginia Tech Hokies ,and derailing then No. 18 Duke.
After winning nine consecutive games and going 4-0 in ACC play, the Cardinals returned to the rankings coming in at No.23/22. Louisville spent nearly a month on the outside after beginning the season 1-4.
The Cardinals have continued to dominate, notching 13-consecutive wins, going 8-0 in ACC play.
CARDS Crush Clemson
Louisville bulldozed Clemson Thursday evening, coming away with a 75-33 victory over the Tigers.
The Cardinals had four players hit double-figures: Briahanna Jackson paced Louisville connecting on 5-of-8 from the field and a team-high 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, while dishing out three assists and grabbing three steals.
Asia Durr and Sam Fuehring racked up 12 points a piece. Durr picked up a team best five assists and one block. Mariya Moore rounds out the top scorers racking up 10 points and three assists.
Erin DeGrate and Cortnee Walton dominated the glass grabbing 10 boards apiece. DeGrate had a team high six defensive boards. Louisville outrebounded the Tigers 50 to 33.
