Louisville Double-Header

Cardinal fans have a full slate this Friday as both the men’s and women’s soccer Cards will be taking on the UAB Blazers and Butler Bulldogs, respectively, at beautiful Lynn stadium.
Following two wins, fans are encouraged to continue their celebrating at the official CSZ Kick-Off party, both football AND futbol! Info, below!

A few notes:

2016 is the third campaign in ACC and at Lynn Stadium.
Men’s 

This is Ken Lolla’s 10th season as head coach.

The Cards failed to qualify for the 2015 NCAA post season tournament.

Louisville returns eight players with 13 or more starts from last year’s team, including the top three goal scorers in sophomore Tate Schmitt (seven goals), senior Daniel Johnson (five goals) and Kubel (five goals). Schmitt was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team, while Kubel (First Team) and Johnson (Second Team) were tabbed All-ACC selections last season. The Cardinals were 7-9-3 overall last season and finished tied for fifth in the ACC Atlantic with a 1-4-3 conference mark.
Women’s 

This is Karen Ferguson-Dayes’ 17th season as head coach.

The Cards failed to qualify for the 2015 NCAA post season tournament.

The Cardinals will be a strong defensive team, returning all four starters from the backline along with All-ACC goalkeeper Bucklin. Louisville enters the 2016 season with 12 returning letter winners and 15 newcomers. (Including one also named Daryl!! 🙀)
Catch the Cards at Lynn this Friday at 5:30 & 7:30 & then head on to the other side of Central Ave. to JB’s Pub and hang with the CSZ crew and other familiar Cardinal faces until 11pm! Hope to see you there! Go Cards!
