Another day, another big time commitment for the University of Louisville.
Defensive back Russ Yeast, who was the #4 rated player in the state of Indiana on 24/7 Sports, commits to Louisville almost a week after the Cards grabbed another top recruit in four-star running back Colin Wilson. Yeast chose the Cardinals over Auburn, Alabama and Kentucky, whom Yeast had committed to prior to his announcement today.
Yeast joins his father, Craig, as a potential second-generation college football player. Craig Yeast played as a wide receiver for Kentucky from 1995-1998, and played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League.
With Yeast’s commitment to the Cardinals, Louisville now has 23 commitments in the 2017 class, while ranked in the top 30 on both ESPN and Scout’s rankings. Louisville’s class is ranked as high as 23rd on Scout.com, and could be trending up with this commitment.
