Louisville Baseball Demolishes Morehead State, 20-2

In an offensive show of force, the Louisville Cardinals defeated the Morehead State Eagles by an astounding 18 runs, in which 4 separate players drove in at least 3 RBIs. The Cards drove in 5, 7 and 4 runs in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings respectively. Game MVP Drew Ellis totaled 5 RBIs, where he had an RBI sacrifice fly in the 5th inning, as well as a grand slam in the 7th inning. Ellis was the fourth Cardinal to have a home run, with Colin Lyman having a 3 run homer in the 5th, Colby Fitch having a 2 run homer in the 6th, and Michael Bollmer having a 3 run home run in the 8th. In relief of starting pitcher Bryan Hoeing, pitcher Jake Sparger came away with the W, moving to 1-0 on the season.
