Cards & Purdue Will Play In 2017 ACC/B1G Challenge

The 2017 ACC/Big Ten Challenge is set for the upcoming season and we will see the Cards face the Purdue Boilermakers for the second consecutive season.  The Cards are currently 2-1 in the challenge with victories over Ohio State in 2014 and Purdue in 2016. Their lone loss came at the hands of Michigan State in East Lansing back in 2015.

It seems the committee was not bothered by the fact that Louisville and Purdue faced each other in last year’s challenge. The Cards prevailed 71-64 behind 11 points from both Mangok Mathiang and Ray Spalding.  Purdue was led by big man Caleb Swanigan with 14 points. Swanigan opted for the NBA Draft after the season.

While most of us wanted a meeting with either Michigan or Maryland,  we admit the Purdue match-up should be a good one.   GO CARDS, BEAT PURDUE!!!!
