Congrats to UofL Commit Tutu Atwell as his team, the Miami Northwestern Bulls, routed Naples High School Friday night 42-7 to advance to the FL 6A Title game. It’s the first time Northwestern has played in the title game since 2008, when a sophomore QB by the name of Teddy Bridgewater led them.

Atwell played well rushing 5 times for 45 yards and a TD. He also was 3 of 6 passing for 32 yards. He didn’t play the entire second half, however, as he injured his ankle late in the first half.

Both Atwell and his coach told the Miami Herald he would’ve gone back in, but with the lead the team had built he was held out for precautionary reasons.

We here at Cardinal Sports Zone wish him luck in the title game.
